Buy the Winslow Culottes sewing pattern from Helen's Closet. The Winslow Culottes are voluminous pants designed for ultimate comfort and style. Choose from the classic wide-legged culottes (View A) or the easy-to-sew wrap pants (View B). Customise each view to your desired length, from shorts to full-length palazzo pants. The culottes feature in-seam pockets, inverted box pleats, and an invisible zipper. The wrap pants do not have pockets, pleats, or a zipper, making them really easy to sew! Tie the wrap pants in the front or the back for versatile styling.

Note if purchasing copy shop printing: One of the pattern pieces has been split (to fit on the A0 sheet) and will need to be joined together.

Suggested fabrics: Light to medium weight woven fabrics with plenty of drape such as rayon/viscose challis or poplin, lightweight linen, and tencel twill. A lighter weight fabric with plenty of drape is recommended for both views. For View A, stiffer fabrics like cotton lawn can work for more structured volume.

Fabric requirements: Fabric requirements are the same for both views but do vary depending on the length you wish to make. Allow extra fabric for pattern matching with plaids or stripes.

Shorts length: 57" (145 cm) wide fabric: 1.6 - 2.4 yd (1.5 - 2.2 m) // 45" (115 cm) wide fabric (sizes 0-24 only): 2.4 - 2.5 yd (2.2 - 2.3 m).

Above-the-knee length: 57" (145 cm) wide fabric: 1.9 - 2.7 yd (1.7 - 2.5 m) // 45" (115 cm) wide fabric (sizes 0-24 only): 2.6 - 3 yd (2.4 - 2.7 m).

Midi length: 57" (145 cm) wide fabric: 2.4 - 3.9 yd (2.2 - 3.6 m) // 45" (115 cm) wide fabric (sizes 0-24 only): 3.2 - 4.2 yd (2.9 - 3.8 m).

Full length: 57" (145 cm) wide fabric: 3 - 4.9 yd (2.7 - 4.5 m) // 45" (115 cm) wide fabric (sizes 0-24 only): 3.7 - 4.9 yd (3.4 -  4.5 m).

Sizing: 0 – 34 (approx. UK 6 – 34, based on our standardised size chart). Please also check the designer's size chart and finished garment measurements.

This pattern has been drafted for a 5'6" (168 cm) tall person.
