Buy the Baby/Child Bluebell Dress and Top sewing pattern from Oh Me Oh My Sewing. Bluebell features a shirred bodice with tie straps and an optional small or large ruffle. There are also three length options. The pattern includes detailed instructions to make shirring a breeze!

This sewing pattern is available to buy in the following formats:

Suggested fabrics: This pattern works best with lighter woven fabrics like voile, lawn, and double/single gauze. Those that know their machine shirrs well can use light-medium weight woven fabrics (up to 5 oz.) such as quilting cotton and washed linen. Don't use anything heavier or the shirring won’t scrunch up enough for a good fit.
Fabric requirements:
Lengths 1 and 2: 45" (114 cm) wide fabric: 1.25 - 2.5 yd (1.2 - 2.3 m) // 60" (152 cm) wide fabric: 1 - 2 yd (1 - 1.9 m).
Length 3: 45" (114 cm) wide fabric: 0.75 - 1.5 yd (0.7 - 1.4 m) // 60" (152 cm) wide fabric: 0.75 yd (0.7 m).
Note that when sewing Length 2 in size 8-10 years you will need a fabric that is at least 46" (117 cm) wide.
Sizing: 0-3 months up to 10 years. Please check the designer's size chart and finished garment measurements.
Notions: Elastic thread; 0.5 yd/m of 1/4" (6 mm) wide elastic; two safety pins.
