Buy the Frankie Bag sewing pattern from Veronica Tucker. The Frankie is a reversible tote (two bags in one!) with a pocket and knotted shoulder ties. There are three options to choose from: a small version with short shoulder straps, a medium version with medium length shoulder straps, and a medium version with long crossbody straps.
This sewing pattern is available to buy in the following formats:
– PDF (available to download immediately after purchase). What is a PDF?
– PDF pattern + Printed A0 copy shop (We print out the A0 pattern sheets, but you’ll need to download the digital instructions, as we don’t print these. The PDF files will be emailed immediately after purchase, and the A0 pattern sheets will be dispatched next working day). What is Copy Shop?
Note if purchasing copy shop printing: One of the pattern pieces is divided across two A0 sheets. The two sheets will need to be joined with no overlap.
Suggested fabrics: The Frankie pattern is designed for a stiffer fabric such as a linen or compact cotton twill. But you can make it in whatever woven fabric you like depending on the look you’re going for! Just remember, the thinner the fabric, the slouchier the look.
Fabric requirements: These requirements are for non-directional fabrics. If you decide to use a fabric with a directional print, you will require more fabric.
Small bag with short straps: 115 cm wide fabric: 0.85 m // 135 cm wide fabric: 0.68 m // 150 cm wide fabric: 0.56 m.
Medium bag with medium straps: 115 cm wide fabric: 1.33 m // 135 cm wide fabric: 1.16 m // 150 cm wide fabric: 0.82 m.
Medium bag with long straps: 115 cm wide fabric: 1.5 m // 135 cm wide fabric: 1.5 m // 150 cm wide fabric: 1.1 m.
