Buy the Children’s Sweatpants sewing pattern from Wardrobe by Me. These classic straight-leg joggers have pockets in the side seams and a ribbed waistband with elastic and a drawstring. View A has ribbed cuffs. View B has a straight hem and a strip of contrast fabric at the sides.

Suggested fabrics: Sweatshirt fleece, interlock, or medium weight jersey fabric with 3 - 5% lycra in the composition. Use a matching rib for the waistband and cuffs.

Fabric requirements:

View A: 150 cm (60″) wide fabric: Main, 0.45 - 0.9 m (0.5 - 0.9 yd) // Rib, 0.1 - 0.15 m (0.1 - 0.15 yd).

View B: 150 cm (60″) wide fabric: Main, 0.5 - 0.95 m (0.6 - 1 yd) // Contrast, 0.1 m (0.1 yd) // Rib, 0.1 - 0.15 m (0.1 - 0.15 yd).

Sizing: 3 – 12 years. Please check the designer’s size chart and finished garment measurements.

Notions: Scrap of interfacing; 4 - 5 cm (1.5" - 2") wide elastic (see chart); optional drawstring, 8 - 10 mm wide, 0.8 - 1.25 m (32" - 49").
